My Favorite Places to Shop by Katie
I often get asked where I shop for my furniture, decor and accent pieces. So I thought I would share with you a few of my favorite places in and around Edmonton. Happy Shopping!!
Furniture & Antiques
Edmonton
Find Furniture - 5120 122 Street
This is one of my favorite places, and where I purchased a lot of the big pieces of furniture that we have at 3 Leaf.
The best time to go is when they open on Wednesday 10:00am
They will deliver up to 4 large pieces of furniture for $50
Proceeds from retail sales support programs for people transitioning out of homelessness and into permanent housing, helping them build better futures.
Restore
South- 6909 - 76 Avenue
North- 8210 Yellowhead Trail
*(NEW) West- 16811 - 106 Avenue

Restore is mostly donated building supplies: Kitchen cabinets, doors, tile plumming ect. but you can also find used furniture.
This is a great place to go when looking for items to replace things in an older home (odd sized doors and windows)
I have found lots of great furniture pulls here
Proceeds support Habitat for Humanity
Home Reusables
8832 62nd Ave

Used building materials
They salvage materials from buildings undergoing renovations or full-scale demolitions in and around Edmonton
I have found some great things in the antique section they have at the front
Plus they have really great staff who are helpful and friendly!
Architectural Clearing House
11507 – 120 St.Edmonton, Alberta
Used building materials includes windows, doors, plumbing fixtures, lighting, cabinets, counters, lockers
They have a large selection of old doors (great for DIY projects like headboards)
Decade to Decade
7425 72a St Nw, East of 75th Street on Argyll Road
http://www.decadetodecade.com/
This is an antique store with nice quality pieces.
More expensive than some of the other places listed
I have found some great silver pieces here, and the last time I went they had a few silver champagne buckets (they look beautiful with a potted plant placed inside)
Classic European Antiques
13314-126 Ave Edmonton
http://www.classiceuropeanantiques.com/
European antiques
Expensive
They have some beautiful old chandelliers and large quality antique pieces of furniture
Blue Jar Antique Mall
15230 Stony Plain Rd. Edmonton
http://www.bluejarantiquemall.com/
This is one of my favorite places
It is a new antique mall so it is a little sparse but the prices are great
There is a vendor that sells chalkboard paint (covers everything)
Rocky Mountain Antique Mall
7025 Gateway Blvd NW
http://rockymountainantiquemall.ca/
Large antique mall
There is another one close by (just off whyte) but this one has the better finds
A great place to spend an afternoon
Stony Plain
One Man’s Treasure
4912 50th Ave. in Stony Plain, AB.

I love this place:)
It’s a smaller antique mall with some great deals
Carries locally handmade items
Spruce Grove
Second Chance Furniture Antiques & More
5C Alberta Ave, Spruce Grove
Sells used furniture
Not a very big space but they have some nice pieces
Really nice owners. They will usually come down on a price for you
Millet Alberta
There is an antique store in Millet (I cant remember the name) owned by the sweetest old man. I found a large beautiful silver tray from England for $35 (the one we place our tea cups on)
Auction
Another great way to find a deal is to visit an auction.
Kastner Auction
14740 - 111th Avenue
Sign up for their newsletter and they will send you out pre auction info
They also show a lot of what will be auctioned on facebook
Wallpaper
Trendy Home
#150 - 15 Perron St. Downtown St. Albert, AB
They have beautiful wall paper at Trendy Home
Always remember when buying wallpaper that they only come in double rolls (so take the price and multiply it by 2)
When shopping at thrift stores and antique malls remember that the best way to find a deal is to go ALL the time! I often leave with nothing (okay thats not entirely true:) but the next week find the best deal. So be patient and shop often!!!
Enjoy
